We came to A Step In Time when my oldest daughter, Bobbi, was 5… she is now 21 (and still dancing - she is currently a dance major at UNLV). Bobbi has danced in many amazing places and even had the opportunity to teach, for a short time, at a Step in Time while she lived here in CA. Most of all, Bobbi has a love of dance and has made lifelong friends at A Step In Time.
My younger daughter, Danie, now 12, has been coming to the studio her entire life and she LOVES it there! Some of her very best friendships have been made at the studio. She has become so passionate about dance that she now works with younger dancers helping out in their classes.
Because of Dawn, my children have had incredible opportunities and have performed at some unbelievable venues. More important to us, is Dawn’s philosophy behind the studio, which is based on learning in a positive environment, being a well-rounded dancer, learning to work as a Team, adapting to all types of performance situations, and providing amazing and memorable performance opportunities.
Dawn is in it “for the kids”. She gets so much joy out of sharing her passion for dance with her students. She has taken many of the dancers to New York, simply to share her love of dance. Whether it was taking them to a Broadway Show (& back stage) or to Radio City Music Hall (& backstage), to classes at Steps or the Broadway Ballet Center, it was hard to tell who was having more fun, Dawn or her students.
When we first came to A Step In Time it was a very small school with two teachers and one little room. It has grown so much since then. Not only has the location changed with great new dance rooms and a student room, but now there are now many more dancers, Competitive Dance Teams, and an incredibly talented group of caring and special teachers. The experiences we have had at A Step In Time are memories we will treasure for a lifetime. Dawn has touched our family in so many ways, I cannot imagine my children dancing anywhere else.

A Step In Time School of Dance has been such a big part of my life. I started at the studio when I was just 4 yrs old and danced there until I
left for college. Dancing at the studio did more for me then just teach me the technique needed to be successful as a dancer. It taught me discipline,
how to work with others, how to dance as a team, and it gave me confidence in other aspects of my life where no goal could not be achieved. I made
life long friends with the students and teachers which one can't get anywhere else. Because of the training I received at A Step In Time, I am now living
my dream of becoming a professional dancer. This is my second year dancing for the NBA basketball team, The Denver Nuggets. I would not be where I am
today if it wasn't for the opportunity, love, support, and guidance that I was given from A Step In Time.

My
son Evan has been dancing at A Step In Time School of Dance for past eight
years. Currently he is attending the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts
dance department as well as continuing to take classes at A Step In Time. He
would never have had the opportunity to learn at such a high level if not for
Dawn and her staff of professional instructors. Evan is a capable dancer in
Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Musical Theater, and Lyrical. Dawn and the other
professional instructors offer a fun, educational and enthusiastic environment,
where the students can develop and hone their skills. Dance being typically
female dominated, Evan has felt complete comfort working with many different
instructors and benefited greatly by being offered so many different styles of
dance.
Besides the studio work, Dawn offers the students different venues to show their
skills. Evan has preformed on a cruise ship, Staples Center at Clippers games,
Magic Mountain, and Disneyland to name a few. Dawn had taken Evan and other
students to New York to experience the center of the dance world. For any dancer
it's an experience to remember. Master classes are offered each year with some
amazing teachers. The competition teams and conventions offer the kids a chance
to compete at a high level and experience the world of dance from talented dance
instructors from around the country. I have personally benefited from my
association with Dawn and her staff. They have helped me learn and understand
the world of dance and allowed me to enjoy the growth of my son Evan not only in
dance but in life.
A Step In Time School of Dance is a place where everyone enjoys and develops as
dancers. Dawn, thanks for all you have done for Evan !

We sent our daughter Estella Shi to A Step In Time School of Dance for a
Ballet/Jazz/Tap combination class when she was four, hoping that she would be a
little healthier and more outgoing from learning dance. She found
confidence, friendship, happiness and passion there. The school provides
excellent opportunities for kids to learn and perform - Disneyland and Clippers
Game are our favorite performances. Dawn and the teachers pay attention to each
individual dancer and their learning style, and bring the best out of each
child. Our daughter has become a passionate all-around dancer and our son
enjoys the classes and his buddies at the school. I attend the adult classes
(ballet, tap, jazz and yoga) in the evenings and
find them really fun and energizing. I am healthier and happier than ever! Thanks Dawn and all the teachers who have made the studio such a
wonderful place!

I have enjoyed dancing at A Step in Time for over 10 years. Even as an adult I
have always found classes and teachers that are both challenging and fun. Dawn
is always finding great opportunities for performances- I have had the chance to
dance at Carnegie Hall in New York and the 2000 Sydney Olympics! Both were
opportunities of a lifetime that I will never forget. I hope to continue dancing
at a Step in Time for many many years to come.

I have three children at A Step in Time. We began at the studio five years
ago. Since then, dance has become a significant part of all of our lives. My
oldest daughter Caitlin, age 13, says it makes her feel healthy and
energetic when she dances. My son Kyle, age 9, says he wishes he could take
dance class every day. My youngest daughter Madelyn, age 6, is now in the
performing group and lives for being at the studio. All three are learning
great dance technique, the importance of discipline, commitment and
responsibility, working with wonderful teachers and are making friends that
will last a life-time. A Step in Time Staff: Thank you for inspiring my son,
motivating my daughters and giving my children such a positive and amazing
experience in the arts!
